The DVT Pump (Deep Vein Thrombosis Prevention System) is a clinically proven device that helps prevent the formation of blood clots in the deep veins of the legs, particularly in patients who are immobilized, recovering from surgery, or at high risk for venous thromboembolism (VTE). Using intermittent pneumatic compression (IPC), the pump sequentially inflates and deflates specially designed cuffs placed on the patient’s calves, thighs, or feet. This action mimics the body’s natural “muscle pump,” increasing blood velocity and reducing venous stasis.

The system features user-friendly controls that allow caregivers to select the appropriate compression pressure and cycle time based on the patient’s condition. LED indicators and audible alarms alert staff to issues such as low pressure, disconnections, or malfunctions, ensuring continuous and safe operation. The device’s lightweight and compact build make it easy to transport and set up at the bedside, in recovery rooms, or for home therapy.
